Position Purpose:
This position designs and develops customer and supplier integration solutions in addition to providing operational support to ensure high system availability for our IBM Sterling B2B Integrator environment. PFG is seeking a talented self-motivated individual to join the Information Technology (IT) team to work with various PFG departments and our trading partners. This candidate will work closely with IT, business teams, third party software providers, and trading partners requiring a high level of prior experience communicating at that level. The candidate will need to understand and be able to articulate requirements and overall process workflow for various work models, recommend updates and improvements on new and existing systems. A result of this examination will be the delivery of requirements documentation describing requested or identified improvements and developing to those requirements.
To excel in this position, you should be an experienced RPG developer and analyst with in-depth knowledge of business processes and business system analysis techniques. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. It is required that this candidate possess background in EDI and Systems Integration, IT design, development, configurations, application migration, and testing. The candidate will share responsibility for the ongoing operational stability of the environments ensuring deployments to production conform to PFG's change management policies and procedures while maintaining timeliness of delivery.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Required to liaise and lead with business, third party software providers, trading partners, and IT teams in capturing and documenting the following: Requirements, change requests, identifying business/technical impacts and managing change expectations. Understand business processes and relevant technology for business initiatives; collaborate with IT team to develop change specifications based on business requirements and derive an estimate of effort required to implement the changes; coordinate the user acceptance testing (UAT) process (including but not limited to: preparation of acceptance criteria, creation/review of test plans and scenarios, participate in testing, preview of test results), extract / prepare data from systems to provide reporting/processing, as needed. Accurately and concisely articulate issues, questions and recommendations to team members and management.
  • Develop solutions utilizing RPG on IBM Power Systems.
  • Communicate with trading partners and collaborate with internal teams to ensure B2B solutions are developed in a timely fashion and matches specifications
  • Mentor other developers and analysts to assist the team with tasks like, but not limited to, best practices, troubleshooting, estimation, testing and documentation
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
7 - 10 years of experience
Advanced skills with Microsoft Office tools (minimum Word and Excel).

Preferred qualifications:

Bachelors: Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
10+ years Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
Experience working with Foodstar and Performance Enterprise ERPs, Turnover change management, and Jira project management software.
