Position Purpose:
The Revenue Recovery Supervisor oversees the reconciliation and recovery of vendor-funded rebates and trade allowances. This role ensures accurate accrual validation, timely vendor claims and deductions, dispute resolution, and final reconciliation of amounts owed. Reporting to the Controller, the Supervisor leads a small team responsible for generating recovery reports, validating supporting documentation, and resolving discrepancies in coordination with Purchasing, Contracts, Logistics, Accounts Payable, and external vendors. This position plays a critical role in protecting company revenue, improving recovery accuracy, and strengthening vendor accountability.
Major Functional Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and develop Revenue Recovery Coordinators and Auditor(s); provide oversight, prioritization, and performance management.
  • Oversee monthly generation, validation, and distribution of vendor recovery reports (by vendor, customer, item, and program).
  • Ensure accurate calculation and reconciliation of vendor-funded rebates, trade allowances, and accruals.
  • Manage vendor recovery processes, including automated deductions and formal claim submissions.
  • Oversee dispute resolution process, including research, documentation review, and collaboration with cross functional partners to resolve discrepancies.
  • Partner with Purchasing, Contracts, Logistics, and Accounts Payable to investigate pricing, freight, cost, or purchasing history discrepancies.
  • Review and approve credit adjustments, corrections, and final reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Monitor aging recovery balances and drive timely resolution of outstanding vendor receivables.
  • Establish and improve internal controls, documentation standards, and recovery processes to minimize risk and leakage.
  • Identify trends, recurring discrepancies, and systemic issues; recommend process improvements.
  • Support month-end close by ensuring accurate reporting and reconciliation of vendor recovery balances.
  • Provide reporting and analysis to Finance leadership on recovery performance, dispute trends, and outstanding balances.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Required Education:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
Work Experience:
• 3 - 5 Years - Experience in revenue recovery, trade funding, deductions management, financial reconciliation, or related finance operations.
Required Qualifications:
• Prior supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with attention to detail.
• Experience working cross-functionally with purchasing, operations, and vendors.
• Advanced Excel and ERP/reporting system proficiency.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in dispute resolution environments.
