IT Intern (Web + React)

Job Description:

This position reports to an IT leader and interfaces primarily with the Vistar and Corporate IT teams, but will also interact with key internal business partners. Vistar is committed to a collaborative, agile, and service-oriented culture that emphasizes employee growth with both internal and external relationship building.

The IT Intern will gain exposure to the following areas:
The big picture / strategy of a Fortune 200 company, specifically how a distribution company operates, and how IT fits in and enables success
How IT supports business processes
Candy, snack, and beverage distribution industry (Food/Bev)

Specific Responsibilities include:
Develop web-based applications in React in order to support application monitoring solutions for order processing and operations

Support applications displaying real-time system performance
Additional reporting and related tasks

Skills the intern will learn:
Reporting/KPI programming and development
Web-based support of business processes
Agile, SCRUM

Qualifications:

Must be current student, with a minimum of 3.0 GPA in field of study

Must be studying computer science, computer programming, information systems, or closely related

Must be available for a 10 week, full-time internship in Englewood June 1 - August 7.
