We are seeking a dedicated Inventory Control Associate to join our 2nd shift inventory team. The ideal candidate will ensure inventory accuracy, troubleshoot discrepancies, be a team player, while upholding compliance with safety and quality standards.

Position Summary: The Inventory Associate is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory through cycle counting, location audits, and discrepancy resolution. This role regularly operates forklifts and other material handling equipment to access elevated storage locations in order to perform inventory control functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform cycle counts and inventory audits, including counts on multi-level racking.
  • Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks as required to complete inventory counts and location verification.
  • Verify product quantities, locations, lot codes, and date-sensitive inventory in the WMS.
  • Identify, document, and assist in resolving inventory discrepancies.
  • Relocate pallets as needed to support accurate inventory counts (inventory-related moves only).
  • Inspect inventory for damage, labeling accuracy, and storage compliance.
  • Follow all safety policies, GMPs, and quality standards; wear required PPE.
  • Complete equipment safety checks and secure equipment at the end of shift.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas.
  • Perform other inventory-related duties as assigned.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to meet productivity, accuracy, and safety standards.
  • Must be able to work assigned schedules, including required overtime and occasional weekends.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
1-2+ years of inventory control experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
Sit down forklift, stand-up forklift, and/or reach truck experience or ability to obtain certification
Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and RF scanning technology.
Ability to stand, walk, reach, and lift throughout the shift.
Ability to lift, stack, and pull product weighing up to 50lbs.
Ability to work entire shifts in the cooler and/or freezer.
Ability to pass a post-offer drug test and criminal background check.

Preferred qualifications:

Foodservice distribution or related industry experience.
1+ year of warehouse and/or distribution experience using sit down forklift, stand-up forklift, and/or reach truck
Current equipment certification is preferred
Experience operating forklifts or reach trucks in high-bay racking environments.
Experience working in a cold storage facility
Prior warehouse inventory auditing experience beyond cycle counts.
