Redistribution Vision

The opportunity to expand our redistribution network to support our vision of the future has led to the creation of new, key leadership roles. Today the convenience redistribution network supports our Opcos with over $800M dollars in sales. Through partnerships created by an expanded PFG network, redistribution will go beyond convenience and support the shared vendors across Core-Mark and Vistar. This expansion provides the opportunity to more than double our sales and become and significantly increase our EBITDA operation. This new role will be instrumental in realizing this vision and pave the way for future growth and profitability.

The Director of Redistribution Vendor Relations will be responsible for optimizing vendor contracts, relationships, purchases, sales, and income to support the strategic direction for the redistribution model across the Core-Mark and Vistar network. This individual will lead the redistribution contract negotiations and support the purchasing strategy while helping construct the size and shape of the redistribution network of the future. A successful candidate will have a track record of delivering on current business plans, being an excellent negotiator and have the capability to work across complex organizations and influence mutually beneficial solutions.

This position is based is an in-office position based in Westlake, TX.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver on the annual business plans for the redistribution network in the convenience and Vistar.
  • Execute the strategic direction for redistribution, to include the network of locations, profitability of the vendors, categories delivered and capitalizing on cross department synergies.
  • Act as the corporate level marketing liaison for convenience and Vistar within the broader PFG network, participate in efforts to optimize redistribution inside of the various channels.
  • Establish common profitability across redistribution centers.
  • Work in partnership with the PFG logistics team in the optimization of the inbound and outbound freight strategies.
  • Support and engage with vendors in discussions around value proposition of redistribution.
  • Travel will be required for this position. Approximately 30% Travel.
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
  • Experience in developing and leading to deliver in fast past work environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, assimilate information, and make excellent business decisions.
  • Demonstrated professional leadership capabilities.
  • Highly proficiency in Microsoft Office, such as Excel, and Windows-based programs.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively and diplomatically across organizations.

Qualifications:

Four-year degree in Business or related field, or relevant business experience.
5+ years in operational and marketing/purchasing roles, some portion in a wholesale environment which includes food, beverage, or regulated products.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience working with and optimizing WMS software systems
