Position Summary:
In this role you will teach, coach and apply training techniques for our Selectors new in role as well as those in position, to fill customer orders with basic responsibilities of the job, as well as proper use of equipment. Driving home our core values, responsibilities and expectations of performance in that role.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Read computer generated stickers to determine items to be selected and where to locate the items.
  • Conveys items from warehouse slot to pallet to fill customer orders.
  • Places materials or items on pallets to insure best order for ease of delivery and safety of product.
  • Sorts and stacks perishable goods in refrigerated, freezer or dry pallets, depending on type of product being selected.
  • Marks materials with identifying information, by attaching sticker to product.
  • Operates hand pallet jack to transport palletized items from warehouse storage area to loading dock.
  • Shrinks wrap pallets correctly
  • Completes initial training in accident reporting, safety and HACCP.
  • Trains warehouse and drivers in the safe operation of powered industrial trucks (forklifts / pallet jacks)
  • Incumbents will follow any other instructions, and perform any other related duties, as may be required by their supervisor.
  • Keeps logs/tracking of all training paperwork for each new hire that goes through training program
  • Assures performance standards reviewed and practiced with all new hires for our productivity-based environment
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
2 - 4 years' experience in a production-based environment
2 - 4 years leading increased production with activity & knowledge-based training for new team members
2-4 years related experience in warehousing and powered industrial trucks. Stand on Pallet Jacks and Forklift operation.

Preferred qualifications:

OSHA certified trainer for powered industrial trucks
1-3 years in previous leadership role
Relevant experience in the industry or field related to the training content.
Ability to build rapport with learners and create a positive learning environment.
Strong organizational and time management skills to plan and execute training sessions effectively.
