Operations Intern (Routing)

Job Description:

This position reports to the Regional Director of Operations for the North Region, and interfaces primarily with various Operations teams, but will also interact with key internal business partners. Vistar is committed to a collaborative, agile, and service-oriented culture that emphasizes employee growth with both internal and external relationship building.

The Operations Intern will gain exposure to the following areas:
The big picture / strategy of a Fortune 200 company, specifically how a distribution company operates
Candy, snack, and beverage distribution industry (Food/Bev)

Specific Responsibilities include:
Deep dive into our routing practices

Identify and propose optimizations to routing which are scalable

Skills the intern will learn:
Routing

Process improvement

Qualifications:

Must be current student, with a minimum of 3.0 GPA in field of study

Must be studying Supply Chain or closely related major

Must be available for a 10 week, full-time internship in Englewood June 1 - August 7.
