Job Description:

Position Purpose
The IT Project Manager I performs project planning, team coordination, monitoring progress on projects, and documentation. This role serves as the foundation for advancing into more senior project management positions.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Assist in the development of project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure alignment with organizational goals
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure tasks are completed on time and within scope
• Track project milestones, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation strategies
• Monitor and clearly communicate project progress and escalate risks, issues, or scope concerns to leadership
• Facilitate project meetings and follow up on assigned actions to ensure timely completion
• Serve as a point of coordination between IT teams, vendors, and business partners
• Help ensure projects adhere to established project management standards, processes, and governance
• Maintain project documentation, including reports, schedules, and meeting notes
• Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment
• Support impact analysis for proposed changes, enhancements, or new initiatives
• Help ensure delivered solutions meet documented requirements through walkthroughs, business handoffs, and UAT coordination
• Address challenges that arise during the project lifecycle and proposing effective solutions
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 1-3 years Project Management experience
• Familiarity with Project Management tools such as JIRA, Microsoft Project, or Asana
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or closely related
• PMP, CAPM, or CSM Certification
